How We Do It?

From our farm to your doorstep

A lot goes into getting milk from our herd to your doorstep. So, we at Threlfall’s Farm Dairies would like to give you an insight on how we do it on our farm.

Our Products

Our happy dairy herd produces fresh, high-quality milk which we then process and bottle in our own dairy. We offer whole, semi-skimmed and skimmed milk in both plastic and glass bottles, along with double cream and whipping cream. In the dairy we also bottle our own orange juice and pressed apple juice. Threlfall’s Farm Dairies have Red Tractor Farm Assurance and SALSA accreditation (Safe and Local Suppliers Approval) which gives us and our customers full traceability for our products.

Our Family

Here at Threlfall’s Farm Dairies we pride ourselves on being a fourth-generation family run business. It all started in the early 1900s when our great grandad, William Haworth Threlfall, inhabited a small farm and began delivering milk to our community on horse and cart. As the generation passed on, his son William Haworth Threlfall the 2nd, got the great opportunity of farming the land of Rishton at Holt Farm. Where we remain today, with the third-generation farmer -Thomas Edward Threlfall, and fourth generation farmer – Paul Threlfall.

Our Community

We were pleased to be invited back to the Hyndburn Business Awards in 2023 as finalists for 3 awards. While celebrating with all the other hard working businesses in Hyndburn, we were completely shocked when we received the award for family business 2 years in a row.
